'08 Saturn Vue

The 2008 Saturn Vue is one of the least expensive SUV's available and is completely changed for 2008.

There are two trims - the XE is the base model. The XR trim includes chrome door handles, chrome-tipped dual exhaust and 17 inch alloy wheels. The XE trim comes with body-colored door handles and side mirrors and 16 inch alloy wheels. Optional on the interior is leather seats.

The Vue has an updated interior, with an eight-way power adjustable driver's seat. It also has lots of head and legroom front and back. The rear seats recline. Optional are three-position seat heaters. The Vue XR1 has a deep blue interior.

The exterior of the 2008 Saturn Vue sports a large chrome grille, teardrop-shaped headlights and a downward sloping roof with angled rear hatch.

There are many safety features. Among them are stability control, active head restraints, a tire-pressure monitoring system, airbags and a one-year subscription to OnStar.

This year's model is quick-shifting, and easy and relaxing to drive. The XR gets 16 mpg in the city and 24 mpg on the highway.

'07 Saturn Vue

The 2007 Saturn Vue is a gas/electric hybrid. It is different than most hybrids, in that, it can't run on electric only. The electric assists the gasoline engine and makes it more efficient.

The Vue Green Line has a four cylinder gas engine with a battery-powered electric motor. The system self charges the batteries. It only comes with front wheel drive. The V6 engine is available with all wheel drive. You can get the four cylinder engine with manual or automatic transmission, but the V6 and Green Line is only available in an automatic transmission.

Standard on the Green Line and V6 are ABS. Curtain side airbags are optional. Also standard is the OnStar Communication system. The XM Satellite Radio and rear-seat entertainment system comes as an option as well. One of the nice features of the Green Line hybrid is that when the car stops, the engine shuts off. When the brake pedal is released, the engine restarts.

The 2007 Saturn Vue Red Line series is the sportier version of the Vue. Standard on all Vues is cruise control, remote keyless entry, security system and power windows, locks and mirrors. This compact SUV gets 27 mpg in the city and 32 mpg on the highway.

'06 Saturn Vue

The 2006 Saturn Vue is a midyear addition to the rest of the gas-electric hybrid family of cars. The Vue shares a similar base to to other General Motors vehicles like the Chevrolet Equinox and the Pontiac Torrent, but this car has unique styling of its own. It comes with plastic body panels and offers a hybrid model.

The Vue Green Line operates with a 2.2 liter inline four cylinder engine that churns out 143 horsepower, and a more powerful 3.5 liter V-6 engine that produces 250 horsepower. Hybrid versions are also available.

The 2006 Saturn Vue features a four-speaker audio system, power windows, mirrors and locks, cruise control, an adjustable tilt steering, anti-theft system, a cargo area organizing system and air-conditioning, all as part of standard features.

'05 Saturn Vue

The 2005 Saturn Vue is fitted with a 2,189 cc with an in-line 4 valve front engine and an 86 mm bore. The 94.6 mm stroke has already doubled with its overhead cam and four valves that are there with every cylinder.

The fuel economy EPA highway (mpg) is 27 and EPA in the cities is about 22 mpg. There is multi-point fuel injection system attached to it. It comes with a 16.3 gallon main unleaded fuel tank.

Saturn is known for its friendly dealerships, and the 2005 Saturn Vue is yet another great reason for consumers to choose Saturn. It is a very handy and practical vehicle that comes with a rather long wheel-base. It has a roomy exterior and a lot of interior space.

The fold flat for hauling an eight foot ladder or other such cargo sounds good enough for heavy loaders. There is also a cargo organizer that comes in really handy when you are traveling on trips.
